The Sensitivity Coaching approach has been specifically crafted to be to reduce RSD symptoms. Leanne has been dismayed to find that many of the regularly suggested cognitive techniques are not very effective because RSD immediately bypasses the logical thinking part of the brain. Compassionate Mind Training allows us to directly affect the part of the nervous system that down regulates automatic threat responses like RSD.

Elaine Aron, a Clinical Psychologist, coined the phrase, having researched the phenomenon in which certain species have 15-20% of the population exhibiting more sensitive nervous and emotional systems. This is thought to be adaptive for the survival of the species. Understanding this trait can assist thriving for those individuals who have it. Take the test here https://hsperson.com/test/

Leanne identifies with ADHD, HSP and being a person who has struggled with making healthy choices.
It is her belief that being assisted by someone with lived experience is helpful, as this promotes relational safety, which is fundamental to good helping relationships.
Leanne also endeavours to help people with different identities and experiences (diagnoses), using the universal coaching principles of humble curiosity, sensitive compassion, and scientific evidence base.

All life experiences and intersectional identities are welcome and Leanne will do her best to co-create the coaching relationship with humble curiosity, accepting that she, as a white, heterosexual, degree educated woman, may lack understanding of certain contextual factors that are important to the client’s experience of their health issues, ADHD or sensitivity. She invites all clients to share their experiences of how their other intersecting identities, such as gender, sexuality, ethnicity and economic situation affect the issue they are seeking support for.

The current Fee is £50 per hour. This is an introductory offer due to Leanne being still in training. Once accreditation is achieved prices will rise. The cost will remain low in comparison to market rates, however. This is due to Leanne’s belief in inclusivity.

Making lifestyle changes, maintaining management regimes and managing the emotional and physical effects of health conditions can be exhausting and overwhelming and involve shame when we are unable to adhere to the recommendations.
It is often assumed that we can simply make changes because they are good for us. However, our bodies and behaviours involve complex responses to our (past and present) emotional contexts and we may need to make changes one small step at a time with support from someone who listens with real compassion and person centred care. Mindful Emotion Coaching is suitable for children and people with learning difficulties.
Empowering parents is empowering kids. John Gottman predicted children’s later life outcomes based on the relational style of the parent/s. A parent only needs to use the techniques Leanne teaches for 30% of the time to be successful in improving their child’s long term resilience to adversity and ill health.
Mindful Emotion coaching starts from the assumption that all parents are doing their best, want the best for their kids and appreciate support. Parental involvement ensures the child to obtain best benefit, especially for younger children.

Whilst Sensitivity Coaching focusses heavily on emotions and learning to regulate them, it is not the same as therapy. A coaching approach provides psycho-education about the nature of certain psychological feedback loops and seeks to show us how to recognise these in the moment, and use simple micro practices to regulate our emotions and cut the cycle. However, we do not seek to dig deeply and unpack the details like we would in therapy.
